Sywell Echo consists of nearly 100 LEDs that trace the old river system hidden below the old Northamptonshire Sywell Reservoir. Each LED hovers above the reservoir exactly the height that the rivers lie below so that, on a calm evening, the rivers are precisely drawn by the reflection of the lights in the water.

Parallel to Sywell Echo I ran a series of poetry workshops, With the Flow, providing the opportunity for local schools and communities to explore the metaphors inherent in the Northamptonshire rivers and waterways with award winning poets Sue Stewart and Joel Stickly.

Sywell Echo was constructed with strong support by Sywell Country Park rangers and volunteers. Part of FLOW Northamptonshire, it was organised by Graham Callister for Northamptonshire Country Council and included installations by Jo Fairfax and Steve Messam.
